Riverbend Gardens & Nursery is also the home of Allan & Shirley Koch, two horticulture fanatics who have spent the last four decades on one of the prettiest properties in Howick Township. After raising four children they decided retirement just wasn't their cup of tea and decided to pursue their lifelong passion for plants. In 2003 they opened their doors to their first customers, and through thick and thin, drought and flood, and a swarm of grandchildren they've created one of the most unique and outstanding nurseries in the province, specializing in hostas, daylilies, lilies, peonies, specialty fruiting shrubs, and heritage perennials. Their award-winning gardens have been become a wedding destination, a "mother-stock" nursery, and the source of much joy for family, friends, and customers.
